Objective of the Exhibit

The Low Beams at the Gallery to play in Písek has been freshened up and so visitors can now enter the mysterious world of the unique interactive exhibition inspired by the legacy of the painter, sculptor, architect, naturalist, musician, writer, inventor and constructor Leonardo da Vinci. Stop rewriting existing truths. Become Leonardo da Vinci and get under the skin of an inventor who is inspired by everything he sees around him.

Basic Description of the Exhibit

You Will Have Fun and Learn In Doing So

The programme of the interactive exhibition gives children the opportunity to enter the world of da Vinci’s inventions, art and scientific work and much more. Both small and big visitors can also visit the world of fantasy in the play area that interprets Leonardo’s mind both artistically and imaginatively.

Paint Mona Lisa and Drive a Tank

Children will spend the first part of the programme in the Discovery Zone (Objevárium: Leonardo) where they can try to draw Leonardo’s drawings, manipulate with models of Leonardo’s inventions, play in his military tank, build a portable bridge, digitally transform their faces into Mona Lisa or build anatomical models.

Become an Inventor

In the second part of the programme, each visitor can test their own creativity and engineering skills in Leonardium – an open space for creating and inventing equipped with all kinds of materials. Leonardium is a space inspired by da Vinci and created according to the model of the Tinkering Lab of the world famous museum Exploratorium in San Francisco.

The current interactive exhibits are traditionally accompanied by programmes for schools prepared by Sladovna. The programmes are designed in a playful form and they use the method of experience and situational learning with the aim to introduce the topic of the exhibition to the children in a comprehensible way.

The programmes for schools are designed in compliance with the Framework Education Programmes for the individual levels of education.

Each month, Leonardium will offer children a different challenge in one of the technological fields and design. You can reserve spots for your group only for Leonardium. The suitability of the theme activities for kindergarten children differs. You can make a reservation for activities in Leonardium only and gradually try all the creative challenges!

Build an innovative path for balls using pipes, funnels and other common tools.

Create a system of transmissions and find out how toothed wheels can be used to change speed, force or direction of movement from one side of the machine to the other.

Check your knowledge of geometric structures in the field of newspaper architecture and help fill up the space of Leonardium with various architectural elements.

A special permanent programme tailored for kindergarten children regardless of age. Children can play with a lot of sorted material and create inventions, first architectural works and building projects.
